Tiny Run is my on-demand, interesting shirt product venue, and my name is Michael. For two weeks a single design will be featured, and at the end of every two week period, only the amount of orders placed dictate how many are produced. The old design is retired, and a new design will be posted. Sometimes they are my designs, and sometimes they are by other people. The timing of new designs being posted is fast and loose. Designs will be posted when they have cleared all checks and made the grade. Best to sign up for email or follow the tinyrun twitter to make sure nothing is missed.

Designs will not be reissued, there is no backstock.

The whole idea is to make a tiny, more personal run of a design. It’s an environment built around the idea, “I’m making this shirt because I want one. I’ll make more for those who are interested and also think it’s awesome.” So why not make a tiny run just for those who are interested? Do it one design at a time. The whole idea flies in the face of the internet’s making-money-with-t-shirts paradigm, where slim margins makes huge quantities the king.

I make as many as we need. And that need is why I make them. I’m making this tshirt because I want one. I’m using whatever makes the image sing: screen printing, embroidery, batik, hand painting, direct-to-garment printing, sewing other fabrics right on there, whatever. And never will you see a url or any sort of Tiny Run tag.

So. I’m trying something different.
